Carter & Burgess hires group manager; IALD names three new board members; iSold It opens first store

Management Changes:


Carter & Burgess Inc. (Fort Worth, Texas, design firm) has hired Randall Stone as group manager in its retail and distribution division. Stone was previously vp and co-office director for the Dallas office of RTKL Associates.

Martin Professional (Aarhus, Denmark, manufacturer of computer-controlled entertainment lighting equipment, speaker systems and smoke machines) has named the following to its international entertainment sales team: Kasper Gissel, business development manager; Karsten Petersen, leisure segment manager; Claus Jensen, technical product manager, stage, studio and event segment; and Morten Kristensen, technical product manager, DJ/club segment.

The International Association of Lighting Designers (IALD, Chicago architectural lighting organization) has appointed the following to its board of directors: Mitchell Kohn, director of finance; Stefan Graf, director of marketing & communication; and Katherine Abernathy, director at large. The association also named Faith Baum and Graham Phoenix to its membership committee.

Roland DGA Corp. (Irvine, Calif., graphics company) has appointed Neil Zdunkawicz product manager, cutting devices.

Store Openings/Contracts:


iSold It (Pasadena, Calif., eBay resale shop) has opened its first store, a 3000-square-foot space in Pasadena, Calif. Patrons drop off merchandise that they would like to offer on eBay at the store; the retailer charges a commission for any items it sells over the Internet auction service. iSold It plans to open additional franchise stores in 2004.

FASTSIGNS Intl. (Carrollton, Texas, franchiser of signage and graphics stores) has opened a FASTSIGNS Sign and Graphics Center at 3111 W. Galbraith Road, Cincinnati.
