True Religion Apparel Inc. (Vernon, Calif.), a specialty apparel retailer, has hired Lynne Koplin as its chief operating officer. Koplin was previously president of the women’s division of Tommy Bahama.

CBX (New York), a strategic branding and retail design consultancy, has named the following to its retail division’s new specialty retail/department store design practice: Peter Burgoyne, creative director; Kieran Jason Hackett, senior vp, brand activation retail environments; Dimitri Vermès, vp; and Joon Kyu Whang, managing director, Korea.

Dollar General Corp. (Goodlettsville, Tenn.), a discount retailer, has appointed David Rickard to its board. Rickard was most recently executive vp, cfo and chief administrative officer of CVS Caremark Corp./CVS Pharmacy Inc.

Office Depot (Boca Raton, Fla.), a retailer of office products and services, has appointed Thomas Colligan to its board. Colligan is vice dean of The Wharton School’s Aresty Institute of Executive Education.
