Borders Group Inc. (Ann Arbor, Mich.) is launching a teen’s department called Borders Ink that’s designed to cater to young readers with a designated area featuring their favorite authors and products. Building on the success of such hot writers as Stephenie Meyer, the author of the popular vampire series “Twilight,” the shops are expected to carry graphic novels, fantasy and young-adult titles, according to The Wall Street Journal.

“We want this to be about more than just the book,” Kathryn Popoff, vp, merchandising/trade books at Borders, told The Journal.

Ink shops are expected to be operating in a majority of Borders 513 superstores by the end of August.
