bebe stores inc. (Brisbane, Calif.) announced that vp of stores Patrick McGahan has resigned.

“We wish Pat well in his future endeavors,” was all that chairman and ceo Manny Mashouf would say, in a brief statement.

Mashouf founded the contemporary women's apparel designer and retailer in 1976 and, with his wife Neda Mashouf, owns 81 percent of the company. It currently operates 178 stores in the U.S. and Canada.
