Scott Huckins has been named the new cfo of accessories retailer Claire’s Stores Inc. (Pembroke Pines, Fla.).

Previously, Huckins was vp, treasurer and president of Sears Reinsurance, a wholly owned captive reinsurance firm at Sears Holdings, reports Women’s Wear Daily. At Claire’s he will report to CEO Ron Marshall.

A recent Fitch Ratings report named Claire’s as one of seven U.S. retailers with significant default risk within the next 12 to 24 months.
