Design Forum Merges With Interbrand

Becomes part of the Omnicom Group international conglomerate

Design Forum, the Dayton, Ohio-based retail design firm, has merged with Interbrand/Omnicom. Interbrand is a branding consultancy firm. Omnicom Group (New York), the parent holding company, is the third-largest advertising conglomerate in the world in terms of worldwide billings. Its ad agency subsidiaries include BBDO Worldwide, DDB Worldwide and TBWAChiatDay Worldwide, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners and GSD&M.

Design Forum will remain in Dayton and operate under its current name. Founder and ceo Lee Carpenter will continue to run Design Forum autonomously and will also head Interbrand's entire worldwide retail practice.
