Sears Holdings Corp. (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) has named Lisa Schultz executive vp, Sears Holdings Apparel Design, a new position.

Schultz, who previously was senior vp of design for Kmart, will be responsible for all of Sears' and Kmart's apparel design teams and will report to chairman Edward Lampert. She joined Kmart in 1993 from The Gap Inc. (San Francisco), where she headed the development of the design organization.

“In two years, Lisa has assembled a team of talented and enthusiastic designers and has refashioned and defined the Kmart apparel line,” said Lampert. “She has also been a valuable contributor to the development of our strategy. Lisa's demonstrated ability to attract, retain and develop creative talent will be critical as she expands our combined design organization and works with our valuable design associates in New York City and Hoffman Estates.”
