Kohl’s (Menomonee Falls, Wisc.) has launched a new in-store and online experience meant to bring a diverse selection of brands to their stores and website, according to a company press release.

The retail chain is calling this new initiative Discover @ Kohl’s, which will start with this year’s back-to-school items. By the end of the year Kohl’s will have introduced 30 diverse and women-owned brands in 600 store locations.

Kohl’s Interim Chief Merchandising Officer Ron Murray says, “We couldn’t be more excited to introduce customers to Discover @ Kohl’s this back-to-school season. The experience is not only designed to inspire, intrigue and bring a new sense of exploration to Kohl’s, but it also contributes to our overarching efforts to modernize, transform and elevate our store and online experience for our customers. Discover @ Kohl’s has also given us the opportunity to partner with truly unique and emerging brands that are hard to find anywhere else, and brands customers will feel good about purchasing from.”

Beginning with the Back to School discovery area, brands will include Ivory Ella, which donates ten percent of its sales to organizations like Save the Elephants; Yoobi, which donates school supplies to children in need for every item that gets sold; and Teleties, which donates a portion of their profits to Force, a non-profit organization committed to fighting hereditary cancers.
