Edible Arrangements to Open 350 Locations

Franchise expands domestically, internationally

Fresh-fruit arrangement company Edible Arrangements International Inc. (Wallingford, Conn.) plans to open 150 locations by the end of 2011 and 200 locations in 2012. Over the next several weeks, 19 stores are expected to open in 10 states and two Canadian provinces. Two international locations are expected to open in Saudi Arabia and Oman.

During Mother’s Day week, the chain recorded a double-digit increase in system-wide sales compared to the same period last year.

Currently, Edible Arrangements has more than 934 locations in 10 countries outside the United States and Puerto Rico.
