Trimco hires Harry Newton; Be Design Relocates; Hannum takes part in Russian project

Trim Corp. of America (Trimco, Brooklyn, N.Y., decoratives, p-o-p and store fixtures supplier) has hired Harry Newton as its Northeast account executive.

Callison Architecture Inc. (Seattle) has named the following associate principals: Brad Barnett, Martha Boes, Peter Damento, Esmeraldo Formantes, Peter Krech, Jacob Mans, Joseph Marek, Brian Moe, Michael O'Hara, Karen Oshiro, Xiaolei Ouyang, Jim Phillips and Alex Shapleigh.

Business Briefs:

GRAD, a Russian/American real estate and design consultancy, has been formed by leaders of the Tambov region in Russia; Richard Hannum, of Hannum Associates (San Francisco architecture firm); and Igor Tartakovsky, of C&B Engineers (San Francisco). The partnership will oversee the development of a $350 million residential/retail/sports complex in Tambov that will span 3 million square feet of space and three city blocks.

Petrox (Lima, Peru, oil and gas marketing company) has named GroupRed LLC (New York brand strategy and retail design firm) to help develop corporate identity and retail branding strategies for its petroleum and convenience stores in Peru, including 165 retail sites that Petrox recently purchased from Shell.

MICE DisplayWorks (Irvine, Calif., designer and producer of trade show exhibits and corporate and retail environments) has expanded its Fremont, Calif., facility by 18,000 square feet and added another 5000 square feet of space there for a new design center.
