Rapid Rack Industries Hires Patrick McCarthy; Twenty Four • Seven Announces Hires and New Clients; FMI Launches Online Training Program

Management Changes:

(Portland, Ore., design agency) has hired the following: Jennifer Collins, director, account management; Kelly Coller, director, marketing; Lawrence Ko, senior architect; and Nicholas Jaramillo, graphic designer. The firm also announced the following new clients: Apple, Anchor Blue, Ecko/Avirex and Westfield Development.

Rapid Rack Industries Inc. (City of Industry, Calif., shelving rack and workbench provider) has hired Patrick McCarthy as its national accounts manager.

Forest Corp. (Twinsburg, Ohio, p-o-p and print-on-demand communication materials producer) has promoted Forest Bookman to president.

R Tape Corp. (South Plainfield, N.J., manufacturer of pressure-sensitive application tapes, pre-masks and embossed metalized films) has hired Michael Roughton as president.

Business Briefs:

(Grayslake, Ill., in-store visual communication solutions provider) has produced a 15-second commercial for Northfield Block Co. (Mundelein, Ill., masonry products manufacturer), to promote the new Belgard Hardscapes addition to its product line. The commercial will air on CBS.

Food Marketing Institute (FMI, Washington, D.C., research and public affairs organization for food retailers and wholesalers) has launched an online training program that supermarkets can use to meet the Combat Methamphetamine Act training requirements. Retailers can access the program through the FMI web site, www.fmi.org.

Bandit Lites (Knoxville, Tenn., entertainment lighting provider) designed lighting displays for country music group, Rascal Flatts, for its 2006 tour.

HumanEyes Technologies Ltd. (Jerusalem, Israel, provider of 3D lenticular solutions) has announced that Kodak of Greater China will distribute its graphic arts and imaging product line throughout China, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Junckers Hardwood Inc. (Anaheim, Calif., manufacturer and distributor of prefinished solid and engineered hardwood flooring) has received the Adex Award for Design Excellence for its “Black Oak-Designer’s Touch” flooring product.

Energy Focus (Solon, Ohio, fiberoptic lighting provider) has been chosen as runner-up in the 2006 Wall Street Journal Innovations Awards in the Energy and Power category.
