Gap Acquires Intermix

Company strives to compete in luxury market

Gap Inc. (San Francisco) has acquired Intermix Holdco Inc., a women’s luxury retailer based in New York. Gap plans to expand the company’s network of 32 existing stores across North America, as well as its e-commerce website. Khajak Keledjian, co-founder and chief creative officer, along with Adrienne Lazarus, president, will both continue to operate Intermix from its New York headquarters.

“We’re thrilled to have found a partner that has the global scale and infrastructure required to support our vision for growth,” said Keledjian. “Gap Inc. shares many of our entrepreneurial roots, passion for innovation and customer experience.”
