Goodwill Industries has opened a pop-up store in San Francisco's Castro District, serving California’s of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin counties.

Goodwill operates stores and donation sites across the country. The temporary site is in partnership with the Transgender Economic Empowerment Initiative (TEEI), and is the first of its kind for Goodwill to provide job training and employment opportunities for members of the transgender pop-up will remain open for six months, selling a variety of merchandising including clothing, house wares and seasonal items.

“This promises to be a Goodwill store that is unique as the Castro, bringing new shoppers to the neighborhood, and jobs to those in need,” says San Francisco District 8 supervisor Bevan Dufty, who helped bring Goodwill and TEEI together on the store.
