MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Zale Corp. (Dallas) has hired Jeannie Barsam as senior vice president, merchandise planning and allocation, and Toyin Ogun as senior vp, human resources and customer service. Barsam previously worked for Charlotte Russe, while Ogun was with L.L. Bean.

Charming Charlie (Houston) hired Keith Cline as chief financial officer. Cline most recently served as senior vp of finance for Express Inc.

Recreational Equipment Inc. (Kent, Wash.) hired Sue Sallee as vp of accounting and finance and promoted Angela Owen, Tim Spangler and Tom Vogl to senior vps of merchandising, retail, and marketing, respectively.

Walgreens (Deerfield, Ill.) announced that Hal Rosenbluth will retire as president of its health and wellness division. However, he will stay on board as a senior consultant to the ceo for health care services.

Half Price Books (Dallas) opened a 10,800-square-foot store in Dublin, Calif., and also plans to open a store in San Antonio in June.

The Fresh Market (Greensboro, N.C.) opened a 19,860-sq.-ft. store in Rockville, Md.

Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH (New York) has remodeled its store at The Outlets at Bergen Town Center in Paramus, N.J. The 22,000-square-foot space now bears the retailer’s “luxury in a loft” design.
