Hanky Panky (New York) has opened its first physical store with a 600-square-foot shop in the SoHo district of Manhattan’s West Village.

The lingerie brand describes the store as “open and inviting with customized ‘Y’ features from their logo meant to mirror the design of their thong waistband which they are known for.”

Plans for the shop include in-store activations such as an event centered around the brand’s Lingeriecycle recycling program, a series of in-store community events, and meet-and-greets for members of the retailer’s loyalty program.

Hanky Panky says it plans to build its physical footprint with 10 more locations by 2025. Its website says a Los Angeles store is “coming soon.”

“We have been building our digital flagship for many years and it continues to grow at double-digit levels. But we want to talk to the customer in person,” CEO Brenda Berger told Women’s Wear Daily. “A retail presence gives us that ability to interact directly and hear, quickly, the [consumer] feedback.”
