Crate and Barrel, the Northbrook, Ill.-based home furnishings retailer, has opened its first full-line store in Los Angeles, at The Grove. The store offers an eclectic furniture collection, an expanded line of tabletops and housewares, gourmet and gift items.

Crate and Barrel's 32,400-square-foot store is located across from Town Square, next to Nordstrom. The first floor features tabletop, gourmet gift and decorative items, while the second floor, with three sculptural skylights, showcases the furniture collection.

“The Grove is a tremendous location for us as we continue our growth in the Los Angeles market,” says Gordon Segal, founder and ceo, Crate and Barrel. “The quality of design and attention to the visitor creates a wonderful shopping environment and a terrific family destination.”

The Grove has redefined the shopping experience in Los Angeles since its opening on March 15. It features eclectic architecture (inspired by historic Los Angeles), more than 50 retailers and restaurants and imaginative public spaces.

In addition to Crate and Barrel, many of the center's retailers have created flagship stores at The Grove, including Nordstrom, FAO Schwarz, Barnes & Noble, Pottery Barn Kids, Abercrombie & Fitch, Victoria's Secret, Anthropologie, J. Crew, Gap, Banana Republic, NIKEgoddess and Apple Computer.
