IKEA (Delft, Netherlands) announced plans to expand operations in Canada. The furniture retailer has stated that it intends to double its number of Canadian stores over the next 10 years.

Financial Post reports the news follows tremendous financial gains in the company’s website, while the move toward more brick-and-mortar stores shows a commitment to inspiring customers in physical spaces.

IKEA has just celebrated its 40th year in Canada and has only built 12 stores in the country during that time.
