Lord & Taylor (New York) announced its opening a full-priced store in Yonkers, N.Y. The 80,000-square-foot, bi-level store is expected to open in 2012 and will be part of the Ridge Hill outdoor shopping center currently under construction by Forest City Enterprises.

“Westchester's Ridge Hill is the perfect location for Lord & Taylor to further service our southern Westchester customers, and I am encouraged by the business potential for this store,” ceo Brendan Hoffman said in a statement.

It is the first new full-sized store in a decade for the 48-unit chain, which is owned by Hudson's Bay Trading Co. The company has also announced plans to introduce an off-price outlet format and recently completed renovation of its Fifth Avenue flagship.
