Madewell Names New President

Adrienne Lazarus is a 30-year veteran of the retail industry

Madewell (New York) has named Adrienne Lazarus as its new President, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Lazarus will join the company officially this September and will report to the CEO of J.Crew Group, Libby Wadle.

In a statement, Wadle says, “Adrienne’s exceptional leadership skills, creativity and passion for building relevant, customer-centric and purpose-driven brands will be a great asset to our team as Madewell continues to scale … Her strategic approach, entrepreneurial spirit, and proven track record makes her the ideal leader to join Madewell as we position the brand for the future.”

Lazarus was previously a senior adviser at McKinsey & Co. and the co-CEO of Cuup. She also held roles with Bandier, Intermix, Frye and Ann Taylor.

J.Crew Group operates 152 Madewell stores throughout the U.S.
