McDonald’s Corp. (Oak Brook, Ill.) plans adding 700 new locations throughout China within two years, according to MarketWatch. By 2013, the fast-food chain expects to have 2,000 stores in the country.

To staff the new locations, McDonald’s says it will hire 50,000 new workers, including university graduates in management training. McDonald’s entered the Chinese market 20 years ago.

Other restaurant chains have announced expansion plans in China, including Yum! Brands Inc., which has about 4,000 KFC and Pizza Hut locations.
