MANAGEMENT CHANGES

Presentations Plus of America Inc. (Long Lake, Minn.) has added Jeff Spizale as national director of sales and marketing.

Stylmark Inc. (Minneapolis) has hired Miriam “Mimi” Yacobucci to its sales team, overseeing sales initiatives in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Oregon, Nevada, Utah and Washington.

 

STORE OPENINGS

Northridge Fashion Center, in the San Fernando Valley of Los Angeles, Calif., welcomes two new retailers: Angl clothing store and Ben & Jerry's. In addition, Forever XXI has doubled the size of its store to two levels. The property is owned by General Growth Properties Inc.

BUSINESS BRIEFS

GE Lighting, a unit of the General Electric Company's Appliances & Lighting business (Cleveland) has signed a broad licensing agreement with Rambus Inc. (Los Altos, Calif.) for the use of Rambus' patented lighting products. The initial focus will be to create a flat-panel LED lighting system for architectural and commercial lighting for global markets.

Web-based carpet brand Whitespace was recognized by Antron with three product innovation awards at NeoCon 2010. Among the winners, Jute, a pattern derived from the arbitrary growth of plants in nature, won gold in the Broadloom category. The Merit award in Broadloom went to Quarry, which uses varying pile heights to create a chiseled and organic appearance. Echo also took home a Merit award in the Modular category for its pattern that is influenced by the effect of sound waves reflecting off of hard surfaces.

Messe Düsseldorf North America plans to introduce a USA Pavilion at the EXPOCOMER trade fair, scheduled for March 23 to 26, 2011, at the Atlapa Convention Center in Panama City, Panama.
