Apple Inc. (Cupertino, Calif.) unveiled its latest retail space, named Paris Opéra, in France’s capital city. Located in a restored bank across Rue Halevy from the gilded Palais Garnier, the retailer made efforts to restore some of the building’s original details, making this building stand apart from others in the Apple real estate portfolio.

Designed by firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson, which has overseen other Apple locations, the Paris store occupies only 50 feet of the 115-foot facade. Among the exterior design details are three small, black-backed Apple logos including a banner on the façade, as opposed to one large white logo framed against glass and steel.

Inside, new materials for the brand include marble, iron, stone and wood, including on the masonry columns, staircases and mosaic tile flooring. Lighting throughout the space is supplied by a skylight and hanging fixtures.

The store marks the third Apple location in Paris and the 294th overall.
