* Australian-born rug brand Armadillo (Sydney) has opened a 4000-square-foot trade showroom in the city’s NoMad neighborhood. The space at 1123 Broadway was created in collaboration with Klein Agency, and is designed to be “an environment that invites calm reflection amid the city’s pulse,” project participants said in a news release.

* Pasquale Bruni (Milan) has unveiled its first North American flagship in New York’s Upper East Side, at 789 Madison Ave. at East 67th Street, Women’s Wear Daily reports. The boutique, dubbed “Casa Pasquale Bruni,” takes up the entire 6,800-square-foot, five-floor townhouse. It showcases handcrafted fine and high jewelry collections, and features a VIP salon

* WeWearAustralian (Perth) plans to open a space in SoHo that will serve as a department store for a variety of apparel brands from that country. That announcement was made by Cushman & Wakefield, which negotiated the lease for the 5000 square-foot space on the ground and lower floors of 69 Mercer St. This will mark WeWear’s first store in the U.S. (A specific opening date for the space was not immediately available.)
