Clothing retailer and lifestyle brand Oak (New York) reports that it will open its first location in the Japanese market in Tokyo's Shibuya district. The store will offer the retailer's namesake Oak Collection and A.OK brands, as well as a curated selection of shoes and accessories for men and women.

Brooklyn-based Oak, which was acquired by American Apparel last year, also recently opened its first stores outside of New York in Paris and downtown Los Angeles, and plans to open a second LA location on Beverly Boulevard soon.

The 700-square-foot Tokyo store is situated above American Apparel's Shibuya women's boutique, offering a panoramic city view. As with all Oak stores, the Shibuya location will have a unique personality, drawing influence from the rihistory, culture and architecture of Tokyo.
