Publix Names New Ceo

Promotes four other executives

Publix Super Markets (Lakeland, Fla.) is rearranging its executive team in the wake of CEO Ed Crenshaw’s announced retirement. Crenshaw will retire April 30, and, effective May 1, current President Todd Jones will be promoted to ceo.

Along with these changes, CFO David Phillips will be promoted to vp and cfo. Kevin Murphy, who is currently Miami division vp, will be promoted to senior vp of retail operations, a newly created position. Bob Bechtel will replace Murphy as Miami division vp, and Sam Pero is being promoted to Lakeland division vp. These promotions will all be effective May 1, reports Chain Store Age.
