Italian fashion house Robert Cavalli will open a two-level, 3000-square-foot store this month in Tokyo’s Aoyama neighborhood. The brand is already available in the country through department stores and specialty retailers, but this will be its first freestanding location.

“Tokyo is on the world’s stage of fashion, glamour, and sophistication. This is a city of energy and inspiration,” Roberto Cavalli said in a release. “I wanted to create a boutique in which elegance dominates, both for women and for men, in a welcoming and exclusive atmosphere, in which each person can totally fulfill their dreams and desires. I have always been extremely interested in Japanese culture, and I’m looking forward to visiting Tokyo to celebrate our new boutique together.”

The 3000-square-foot store will feature floors made of dark brown quartzite mixed with crystal dust, pony rugs and walls of ivory and dark brown stucco, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The second floor will also feature a VIP shopping area.
