MANAGEMENT CHANGES
Harriet Sustarsic, former Wet Seal (Foothill Ranch, Calif.) chief merchandising officer, will assume the role of senior vp and general merchandise manager for True Religion Brand Jeans in Vernon, Calif., at the end of October.

Qdoba Mexican Grill’s (Denver) president and ceo, Gary J.Beisler, has announced his retirement, according to QSR Magazine. In addition, Jeffrey Wood will join the company as a vp and chief development officer, according to QSR.

AllSaints chairperson Kevin Stanford left the company after a disagreement with shareholder Lion Capital, which was one of the entities that saved the company from bankruptcy in 2011, according to Women’s Wear Daily.

STORE OPENINGS
Saks Fifth Avenue (New York) opened its first store in Kazakhstan in the country’s largest city, Almaty, Bloomberg Businessweek reports. The new store has three floors and 91,000 square feet.

Apple’s newest store in Beijing will open October 20, according to IT World, which reports that the opening precedes the launch of the iPhone 5 in this market. The new store will join five existing stores in China.

Dairy Queen (Minneapolis) has opened a DQ Orange Julius store in Belvidere, Ill., in the food court of the Belvidere Tollway Oasis.

Real estate developer Cassidy Turley (St. Louis) recently awarded design firm CMA (Minneapolis) its Team Integration Award for its partnership on The Art of Shaving store prototypes. CMA provides architecture, planning and interior design services.

Davaco Inc. (Dallas) has named Karin Sumrall its director of operations. Sumrall brings 18 years of experience in architecture, planning, design and development to her new role.

Retail display manufacturer Grand + Benedicts (Portland, Ore.) was named the seventh healthiest employer in Oregon by the Portland Business Journal. The company recently added a yoga studio and workout room to its new headquarters.
