Program session: How is luxury retailing accommodating the new economy?

Sal Lenzo, vp, corporate visual merchandising, Saks Fifth Avenue (New York), and Steve Kaufman, editor of VM+SD, will lead a presentation at the National Retail Federation's annual conference on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003.

The presentation, “Saks in the 21st Century,” will explore how the luxury retailer is adjusting to changing shopping habits and the current economic climate through store design and merchandise presentation. Highlights of the one-hour session, at 8:15 a.m. in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, will be views of the retailer's new Las Vegas store and a discussion of how it will be renovating its main floor in the flagship store on New York's Fifth Avenue.

The NRF's 92nd annual convention and expo will take place in the Javits Center from Sunday, January 12, through Wednesday, January 15.
