Shopko (Green Bay, Wis.) has promoted Jill Soltau to president and chief merchandising officer. Soltau has more than 25 years of experience in the retail industry and joined Shopko in 2007 as senior vp and general merchandise manager apparel and accessories. In 2009, she was promoted to executive vp and chief merchandising officer. In her new role, Soltau will continue to oversee Shopko's merchandising and product development, while assuming responsibility for marketing, e-commerce, inventory management and supply chain departments.
Pacific Northern (Carrollton, Texas) has hired Johnathan Sanders as vp of business development and creative design.
F.C. Dadson (Greenville, Wis.) has added Konna Jahns to its design team. Konna is a recent graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point.
Lemont, Ill.-based Englewood Construction has announced that six of its employees have received new job titles: Dave Palansky, from senior project manager to director of construction; Tara Fox, from project manager to senior project manager; Lance Beeler, from manager of preconstruction services to senior manager of preconstruction services; Kim Sawyer, from marketing manager to senior marketing manager; Chris Di Santo, from project engineer to project manager; and Corey Achino, from project engineer to project manager.
DVUV Holdings (Cleveland, Ohio) hired Patrick Devlin as sales representative covering the East Coast and southeastern U.S. Devlin was formerly co-owner at Acorn Manufacturing, a manufacturing business that designed, developed and distributed p-o-p displays and store fixtures.

Tarkett, a manufacturer of flooring and sports surface solutions, is joining forces with Centiva to jointly market and support soft surface and luxury vinyl tile (LVT) solutions in the commercial market. Thomas Trissl, president of Centiva will leave Centiva effective March 31. Glen Hussmann will serve as president of both Tandus, part of the Tarkett company, and Centiva.
Robert Siegel Architects (New York) has merged with Bridges + Lavin Architects (B+L, New York). Established in 1976, B+L specializes in retail architecture, with a core focus on international luxury brands. Don Lavin, a founding principal of B+L, will join Robert Siegel Architects’ senior management team as director of retail architecture.
Architectural Systems Inc. (ASI, New York) has streamlined the process for designers to navigate its online showroom with a new search function on archsystems.com that allows visitors to describe a material rather than searching by product name.
New York-based YCD Multimedia, a global provider of smart digital media solutions, and BrightSign, a digital signage company, announced an integrated digital merchandising solution, combining BrightSign's digital signage media players with YCD's Retail Advertising and Merchandising Platform (RAMP). The combined solution will be launched at the ISE show, held January 29-31, 2013, in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
