Soft Surroundings to Expand

Plans 10 new stores this year

Soft Surroundings (St. Louis) announced it will invest $10 million in opening 10 new bricks-and-mortar stores this year.

The company has announced the markets for five of the new stores: Seattle; Cleveland; Fairfax, Va.; Bridgewater, N.J.; and Tucson, Ariz. The Tucson store, scheduled to open in April, will be the first to open, reports the St. Louis Business Journal.

The company currently operates 18 stores nationwide, including its flagship location in St. Louis. Launched in 1999, Soft Surroundings sells women’s clothing, jewelry, accessories, beauty products and fragrances, along with bedding and home furnishings.
