Industry leaders will gather in New York in December for StoreXpo, which takes place this year from Dec. 7 – 9, 2005, in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center and in industry showrooms throughout Manhattan. This year, the show is again co-locating with the former P-O-P Show/New York, now renamed The Total Retail Experience (TREX).

This year’s show will feature keynote sessions and seminars. Among the conference programming, on Wednesday, Joe Weishar, founder and president, New Vision Studios, will present “The Aesthetics and Psychology of Presentation.” Based on his new book, The Aesthetics of Merchandise Presentation, Weishar will reveal the role of actual physiological stimuli in the shaping of the customer response and how all-visual selling is the culmination of the game of presentation.

Carrie McCamen, director, Frank About Women, will present “Women's Retail Rituals: Exploring Women's Changing Attitudes and Behaviors Toward Shopping.” Frank About Women recently completed the second wave of a nationally representative study, Retail Rituals II, among nearly 1400 women. McCamen will share those telling results. design factors for altering consumer behavior.

Dario Antonioni, designer and founder, Orange22 Design Lab LLC, will share, “Build Success for Your Brands Through the Power of Narrative in Design.” Antonioni will illustrate both fully realized and conceptual retail interiors, product displays, and travel goods, and demonstrate an inspired approach that builds customer and client loyalty, and invites success.
