Target Corp. (Minneapolis) plans to focus on a group of “signature categories,” including baby, children and wellness products.

New Target chief executive Brian Cornell told The Wall Street Journal the company is seeking to make “bold changes” that will draw consumers back. The changes include focusing more on “design and style,” according to CBS News.

The big-box retailer will also partner with Ellen DeGeneres and Toms on special promotions during the holidays, reports the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.

Target lost customers after a data breach last year and is facing stiff competition from both online retailers and other brick-and-mortar stores.
