The event started with a stunning act of Austrian songs performed by opera singer Ms. Ying Ma. Christina Schösser officially opened the event with a few words followed by welcome remarks from the Austrian Ambassador Friedrich Stift. Ms. Johanna Mikl-Leitner, Governor of Lower Austria, then spoke about international business in Lower Austria, which recognized growth and success between Chinese and Austrian industries. The night proceeded with a delightful buffet featuring a variety of traditional dishes from Austria and China. Later in the night was a traditional Chinese tea ceremony. Guests could also enjoy a variety of Austrian wines and learn about their production process from a wine expert.

Considering the scale of the event and the importance of giving to the space, it was crucial to create an open and elegant space. The entrance featured a large gate in the colors of Gold and Dark Blue to welcome guests to the event. These are the colors of both Lower Austria province and ecoplus. Three photo backdrops outside the hall celebrated culture, business & success, and the leisure, sport & tourism industries. The inside of the hall featured three LED screens that showcased these three themes, as well as dynamic lighting. The event space utilized standing cocktail tables to allow for more networking and fluid movement between guests. 5 Star Plus Retail Design had the honor of developing the full event design concept as well as the production of the awards for this year’s event.

Only three days later, another important event took place in Beijing. More than 50 representatives of 26 Austrian companies joined a Trade Mission led by Richard Schenz, Vice President of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber on April 25-28. After a stopover in Hangzhou the journey continued onwards to Beijing. 5 Star Plus Retail Design developed the design for the evening reception which was held in the St. Regis Hotel in Beijing. All elements of the design were completely in line with the Advantage Austria brand guideline. The evening started with a signing ceremony. There, 16 agreements between Austrian and Chinese companies provided evidence of concrete and real business opportunities created by China’s Belt and Road Initiative. The evening continued with a cocktail event where 200 guests participated. One of the highlight of the evening was the group of Kungfu-practising Shaolin monks.
