Tumi Exec Resigns

Company's global creative director makes exit

Michael Petry, the global creative director at Tumi Inc. (South Plainfield, N.J.), has resigned.

Petry started at Tumi in 2015, reports Women’s Wear Daily, and has since launched the brand’s first aluminum luggage and fostered collaborations with Public School and Langley Fox. He also added men’s products to the Landon and Haydon collections, introduced matte black and paint-splash finishes as we as added five new handbags aimed at executive women.

While at Tumi, Petry designed a new store concept that opened in the World Trade Center as well as ones Hawaii and Boston.
