Japanese retailer Uniqlo is preparing to open two new stores in New York this fall. The retailer’s forthcoming Fifth Avenue flagship will be its largest store worldwide at 90,000 square feet. Its second-largest store, a 60,000-square-foot unit, will be unveiled on West 34th Street, all within a few weeks of each other in October.

The flagship was designed in partnership with architecture firm Wonderwall Inc. and includes a three-story all-glass entrance and more than 300 LED screens within the escalator banks.

Uniqlo’s inaugural store opened on Broadway in SoHo in 2006, reports Women’s Wear Daily.

Fast Retailing Co. Ltd., Uniqlo’s parent company, said it’s targeting roughly $59.5 billion in sales and $11.9 billion in profits by 2020. “To meet these targets, Fast Retailing plans to continue to open Uniqlo stores in major U.S. cities, expanding its presence in the U.S. market,” U.S. ceo Shin Odake told WWD.
