CINCINNATI, OHIO – June 6, 2002 – VM+SD magazine announced today a cooperative relationship with Visual New York (VNY) to launch Store Concepts Winter 2002, taking place December 5-7 in New York. The annual winter market features members of Visual New York, an alliance of showrooms and companies offering visual merchandising and store fixturing products and services. VM+SD will produce a business seminar program covering topics of particular interest to the visual industry. Store Concepts Winter will also feature the presentation of the first annual VM+SD New York City Store of the Year Award.

“We're happy and proud to support the long-standing tradition of a winter market in New York City,” said Carole Winters, associate publisher of VM+SD. “It's one of retail's most exciting locations, especially during the holiday season, when the city sparkles with lights, holiday decorations and festive store windows. It's very important for the industry to convene in New York during that time of year.”

VNY sought to work with VM+SD because of its history and commitment to the visual merchandising community, according to VNY President, David Terveen.

VM+SD has been a friend to the industry for many, many years,” explained Terveen, who also is president of DK Display. “They're a great leader in this market, and we welcome their expertise, especially as educators that are able to inform and connect the trade.”

VNY members include: ALU, Adel Rootstein Mannequins, Alpha Display Co. Inc., Architectural Systems Inc., Bay Area Display San Francisco, Bernstein Display, ColorSpace Designs, DK Display, Elevations Inc., Goldsmith, JP Metal America, Leo Prager, Look, Patina-V, Pucci International, Siegel & Stockman, Silvestri California, and Universal Display and Design Inc.
