(PRESS RELEASE) COLUMBUS, OH – ZenGenius, Inc., a globally recognized visual merchandising & event design agency, announces the celebration of its 25th anniversary. With its start in 1999, founders Joe Baer and Paul Cook had no more than $1,000 and a debit card but felt a strong commitment to ingenious designs, experiential moments, client successes, and sustainability measures that would take shape into a well-established brand.

Over the years, ZenGenius has grown from a small operation of just two creatives to a sought-after agency in the retail design and special events world. Through perseverance, dedication, and a supportive community, ZenGenius has successfully secured a patent in design elements, traveled globally for international industry events, speaking engagements, and workshops, established the annual Iron Merchant Challenge within the International Retail Design Conference, and partnered with world-changing brands and organizations like PAVE Global, ILEA, VMSD, RDI, NGLCC and VM&RD India.

“Columbus has been home to ZenGenius for 25 years with a portion of our team working from coast to coast,” said ZenGenius’ Co-Founder and CEO, Joe Baer. We’ve always been passionate about supporting the development of design talent and fostering community while providing a platform for creatives of all walks.”

ZenGenius, Inc. has unwaveringly committed its brand to solutions-based visual merchandising strategy, experiential design that touches consumers on an emotional plane, and continued evolution in how connection is made within retail environments and milestone events. Going forward, ZenGenius, Inc. will continue to support the development of students in design through PAVE Global scholarships, annual contests and awards, speaking engagements, lectures, and interactive workshops. The company also aims to highlight sustainability measures inside retail and commits to embracing change within the eco-conscious arena in an effort to give back to our planet.

In celebration of ZenGenius’ 25th year, the company plans to celebrate throughout the calendar year during monthly gallery hops in the Short North, special promotions within the ZenGenius Marketplace, the shop attached to the ZenGenius home office that curates gifts and decor, and community engagements. This milestone anniversary provides an opportunity for the company to reflect on its history, acknowledge the hard work and dedication of its employees, and recognize partners and clients.
