(PRESS RELEASE) 2020 this year, we were given the amazing opportunity to be involved with Tiffany’s Christmas festive campaign  for its window display all over the world. Fortunately, this is the second time for DM Window Display to be privileged for the display props by Tiffany.

Tiffany’s concept this year is — “Christmas Tree”. But what makes it different from the usual is its metal trunk and Stainless Steel big tree cap. There are four heights of Christmas trees, they are 1.2m, 1.8m, 2.7m, and 3.6m respectively.

Product Structure
For such high tree, the steady structure and installation way is the key issue. So we figure out the ways:

  1. Making two metal sheets to form the cap shape, and then weld the two pieces and polished it smoothly with non-joint as much as possible.
  2. Welding two slides of metal bars inside of the cap to make sure that its shape is non-deformation and keeps the body tree-round, then weld the cap to the blue metal part.
  3. In order to make the cap with round edge look like a lifelike drop, we make the distance between stainless steel edge and metal trunk 5cm, which makes it look much more three-dimensional effect.
  4. The whole tree made into two parts, screw the upper part together with the trunk with around 6 screws.
  5. The trunk screwed to the puddle.
  6. The top point of the tree is polished to be round shape.
  7. All are half trees.

Finishes
Christmas big tree cap: Stainless steel with golden rose PVD electroplated effect;

  • Trunk: Metal with Tiffany blue painting effect;
  • Puddle: Metal base then covered with stainless steel golden rose color PVD electroplated.

The Push Test
It would be quite dangerous if such tall tree is pulled down or blown down. So how to make it stand steadily and won’t fall down even someone pull it is a quite severe issue we need to solve. We figure out two ways,:

  1. Increasing the size of the puddle properly,
  2. Increasing the pudlle weight.

After that, we have a push test, and it shows that the whole set won’t be pulled down even push and shake it hard.

To make sure all the “Christmas Tree” parts and accessories are complete and show the visual effects to clients, we assemble all the trees as per different store’s design like one 3.6meter with two 1.2 meters, or one 2.7 meters with one 1.2 and 1.8 meters, etc,.
