The Bon-Ton Stores Inc. (York, Penn.) has announced that it will be closing three of the company’s retail stores, which will translate to about 150 lost jobs.

The first stores it will be closing are under the Elder-Beerman brand in Huntington, W. Va., and Lima, Ohio. Both stores will close when their leases expire on Jan. 31. It is also closing its Bon-Ton store in Syracuse, N.Y., when its lease expires on Feb. 28.

These locations have been underperforming, according to recent performance reviews. This comes as the company is attempting to revive its business and increase efficiency, reports Milwaukee Business Journal
