7-Eleven Inc. (Dallas) reported a 9.1 percent increase in total sales for the month of January 2005.

Total merchandise sales were up 5.8 percent for the month and U.S. same-store merchandise sales increased 4.9 percent.

Gasoline sales increased 15.6 percent and average gallons sold per store increased 0.4 percent. The average retail price of gasoline for January 2005 was $1.86, compared to $1.61 in January 2004.
