Amazon Expands Private Label Brands

New items to include food, household items, baby products

Amazon.com Inc. (Seattle) is expanding its existing line of private-label brands over the next few weeks. The Los Angeles Times reports that departments included in the new lines of products may be food, household supplies and baby products.

The company will reportedly focus on high-margin items and will only be available to Amazon Prime members.

Snack foods, detergents and more, will be added to the company’s existing lines of electronics and housewares.
