Target Announces Leadership Updates

The company named a new Chief Guest Experience Officer, among other roles

Target (Minneapolis) announced several promotions and changes to its leadership team, according to a company press release.

Cara Sylvester, most recently the company’s Executive VP and Chief Marketing and Digital Officer, has been named the new Executive VP and Chief Guest Experience Officer for Target. Reporting to Sylvester will be Brett Craig, promoted to Executive VP and Chief Information Officer, taking over Mike McNamara, who is planning to retire.

Most recently serving as Target’s Senior VP of Risk and Employee and Labor Relations, Matt Zabel has been promoted to Executive VP and General Counsel. Christina Hennington, the Executive VP and Chief Growth Officer, will be overseeing Target’s expansion in India. Arthur Valdez has also been named Executive VP and Chief Supply Chain and Logistics Officer.

Brian Cornell, Chair and CEO of Target, says, “The updates we’re making to our leadership team reflect the size and scale of our more than $100 billion business, while also positioning the company for continued momentum well into the future. I have tremendous confidence in these leaders and the value they bring to our organization as we work together to meet the needs of current and new Target guests.”
