Designer Brands (Columbus, OH), parent of shoe retailer DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse, is rolling out a new store concept the company is calling “Warehouse Reimagined.”

Debuting at a Houston-area DSW, the format showcases a warehouse-inspired design that includes shop-in-shops and emphasizes the company’s owned brands. The new store will feature product displays with oversized graphics, and store walls will be flexible and modular to adapt to each store’s planned promotions. Additionally, a dedicated kids’ section will present products at their eye level and incorporate interactive games.

Designer Brands CEO Roger Rawlins said the concept leans heavily on customer insights and digital capabilities, and also features upgraded services and pick-up areas aimed at making the shopping experience more convenient.

The company says it plans to grow its owned brands to account for nearly 30% of sales by 2026.
