Bergdorf Goodman Reopens In-store Gucci Shops

After dropping brand in 2013

Bergdorf Goodman (New York) has reopened its Gucci (Florence, Italy) men’s and women’s shops-in-shop in its Fifth Avenue flagship store. The launch of the project coincides with New York Fashion Week.

The company began renovating the areas for the in-store shops in December that seek to recreate the brand’s spring 2016 runway show, reports Women’s Wear Daily. For instance, one hallway in the women’s store is lined with the same pink-snake-and-herbarium-print carpet that Gucci used in its spring show.

The company previously dropped the majority of the brand from its merchandise floors in spring 2013, removing its shoes entirely and limiting its handbags to ready-to-wear displays only.
