Galeries Lafayette Plans Department Store in Istanbul

Galeries Lafayette (Paris) has signed a partnership with Turkish firm DEMSA Group, a division of Sebanci Holdings, to open a department store in the forthcoming Boulevardi Mall in the first half of 2015, Women’s Wear Daily reports.

The Parisian department store chain has 59 locations in France and three abroad: in Casablanca, Berlin and Dubai. Plans call for opening up to seven overseas locations by 2015, including Jakarta, Indonesia; Beijing; and Doha, Qatar.
