Marriott Bringing Luxury Hotel to Bronx, N.Y.

Will be part of Metro Center Atrium Complex

New York’s Bronx neighborhood will house a Marriott hotel as part of an agreement between Simone Development Companies (Bronx, N.Y.) and Marriott Hotels (Bethesda, Md.). The luxury hotel will open as part of the developer’s new Metro Center Atrium mixed-use project, a 370,000-square-foot office/retail/hotel complex.

The new 125-room Marriott at Metro Center Atrium will operate under the Residence Inn brand and is scheduled to open in 2014.

“Metro Center Atrium is unique in the Bronx – there's nothing quite like it available anywhere else in the Borough – and adding this luxury hotel property further builds our momentum toward completion of this thriving mixed-use project,” says Joseph Simone, president of Simone Development.
