Miller Zell Hires New Operations Chief

Jerry Seabourne was designated 'one of top 20 logistics execs of 2001-02'

Jerry Seabourne, former chief logistics officer for the Ingram Book Co. (Nashville, Tenn.), has been named executive vp and coo of Miller Zell, Atlanta-based retail store agency and marketing firm. He will be responsible for both internal Miller Zell operations and external client logistics and fulfillment (for Miller Zell clients such as Wal-Mart, Sam's Club, Circuit City, KFC, H&R Block, ExxonMobil, Sunoco, Mohawk and others), reporting directly to ceo Sandy Miller.

Seabourne has served in executive, logistics and operations positions for Schnuck's Markets, L. Perrigo Co., Tenneco Packaging and the MBM Corp, a $3 billion food service corporation. At Ingram Book Co., a $1.5 billion division of Ingram Industries, Seabourne oversaw 2.6 million square feet of distribution space and more than 4100 associates comprised of logistics, sales and business development, operations, strategic planning, engineering, human resources, logistical systems, financial and cash accounting. He was recently recognized as one of “The Top 20 Logistics and e-Supply Chain Executives of 2001-2002” by Chief Logistics Officer magazine.
