Target Corp. (Minneapolis) has announced six new-store additions to its October 2001 plans. Now scheduled to open that month are SuperTargets in Huntsville, Ala., and Orlando, and regular stores in Enfield, Conn., Hackensack, N.J., Mesa, Ariz., and Worcester, Mass. (The Orlando store had previously been slated for a July 29, 2001, opening.) That inflates the retailer's October plans to 40 new stores in 22 states – including 11 new SuperTargets – or approximately 5.3 million square feet of new retail space.
