Fixture Hardware Manufacturing Corp. (Brooklyn, N.Y.) was honored by Sears Roebuck and Co. as one of the retailer's three Business Group Suppliers of the Year for 2000. Sears'annual Partners in Progress program, begun almost 20 years ago, recognizes suppliers that make significant contributions to the growth of Sears'businesses. The winners were selected from nominations submitted by Sears store support organization, and include awards for various achievements. Sears bestowed the award this year on fewer than 130 suppliers of the more than 10,000 suppliers. Fixture Hardware was cited in the Sears Support Business category. Other categories include Sears Hardlines and Softlines, honoring suppliers in various merchandise categories, and Sears Services.

“Of the thousands of suppliers with whom we do business, our Partners in Progress award recipients have demonstrated the highest levels of commitment, quality and leadership,” said Sears chairman and ceo Alan Lacy. “Through their professionalism and dedication, these suppliers have earned Sears'recognition.”

Fixture Hardware makes stock and custom brackets, standards, tubing, hangbars and other fixture components. The other two Suppliers of the Year were Icon Health and Fitness for Sears Hardlines and Vanity Fair Intimates in the Sears Softlines category.
