Hermès Plans New Store Design

Organized by lifestyle

Hermès (Paris) announced its plans to open a 6000-square-foot store in Palo Alto, Calif., which will feature a new store design. The store, slated to open in late 2017 or early 2018, will be organized entirely by lifestyle.

“It’s going to be a much more unique presentation,” said, Robert Chavez, president and ceo of Hermès of Paris in the U.S. “We’ll blur the lines a little more and things won’t be so delineated and segmented.”

For instance, instead of an area being devoted to hats and another of gloves, coordinating items will all be mixed together, reports Women’s Wear Daily. This is the first time the company has arranged a store in this manner, so the company expects to use this as a trial run for future stores and layouts.
